Day 1Arrival at Bagdogra - Drive to Phuentsholing.

Upon arriving at Bagdogra, you will embark on a scenic drive to Phuentsholing. The journey, covering approximately 170 kilometers, takes around 4-5 hours, offering a preview of the natural beauty that awaits. After completing necessary immigration formalities, experience the seamless transition as you cross the border.A seamless transfer takes us to the border town of Phuentsholing, where the anticipation builds with immigration formalities. Guided by our knowledgeable escort, we settle into the hotel and then embark on a leisurely stroll through Phuentsholing, absorbing its charm. The day concludes with a visit to the sacred Zangthopelri, a temple at the heart of Phuentsholing, setting the tone for the cultural richness that lies ahead. A delightful dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await us.

Day 2Enchanting Drive to Thimphu

Following a delicious breakfast, our journey winds its way to the capital city of Thimphu. En route, we pause at the scenic Kharbandi Check Post, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and marking our entry into Bhutan. Crossing the strategic Chunzom Junction, we continue our drive towards Thimphu. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel, refresh, and explore the town. The day unfolds with a serene visit to the iconic Memorial Chorten, a monument built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan. The evening wraps up with a leisurely walk through the charming streets of Thimphu. A cozy dinner and an overnight stay in Thimphu await.

Day 3Thimphu Sightseeing - Exploring Heritage and Culture

After a wholesome breakfast, embark on a visit to Buddha Point. The towering Buddha statue, set against the backdrop of the valley, creates a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
Later immerse yourselves in Bhutanese heritage at the Simply Bhutan Museum, offering interactive experiences and insights into the country’s rich culture. The journey continues with visits to the National Library, housing ancient manuscripts, the Textile Museum, showcasing traditional Bhutanese weaving, the Bhutan Postal Museum, unravelling the nation’s philatelic history, and the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory, where the art of papermaking comes to life.
The day’s exploration culminates with a visit to Tashichhoedzong, an architectural marvel that serves as the seat of Bhutanese government and the monastic body.
Overnight, dinner and unwind at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 4Journey Back to Paro

Begin your morning with a delightful breakfast at the Thimphu hotel, bidding farewell to the charming town.
The journey to Paro takes you on a scenic highway, a visual feast for the senses. Upon your arrival in Paro, the town welcomes you with open arms. Check into your chosen hotel, where comfort awaits as a backdrop to the unfolding adventure.
After a leisurely lunch, set out to explore the cultural gems of Paro. Ta Dzong, now the National Museum, beckons with its extensive collection of Thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons, armor, and more—a journey through Bhutanese art and history. A short walk down the trail leads you to Rinpung Dzong, a fortress adorned with wall paintings that vividly illustrate Buddhist lore.
Later visit Drukgyel Dzong: Drukgyel Dzong Paro: In close proximity to Taksang Paro, Drukgyel Dzong is a UNESCO heritage site. Originally built to protect Paro Valley from Tibetan invaders, it stands on a hillock with strategic advantages.

As the day gracefully transitions into evening, find solace and rest at the hotel in Paro. Day 5Taktshang Trek and Kyichu Lhakhang Exploration in Paro

After a hearty breakfast, embark on an excursion to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, a journey that unfolds over a 5-hour hike. This revered monastery stands as one of Bhutan’s most famous, clinging to the side of a cliff 900 meters above the Paro valley floor. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, riding on the back of a tigress, arrived here and meditated, earning the moniker ‘Tiger’s Nest.’ Recognized as a profoundly sacred site, it was visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1646 and remains a pilgrimage for all Bhutanese.
Though a fire in 1998 severely damaged the main structure, the Bhutanese jewel has been meticulously restored to its original splendor, inviting visitors to witness its spiritual grandeur.
Later visit Drukgyel Dzong: A ruined fortress, 2-3 kilometers from the Taksang base parking area.

Later pause to explore the 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang. One of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo, it holds historical significance as the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan.
As the day transitions into evening, indulge in an exploratory walk around the Mainstreet and market area, absorbing the vibrant atmosphere of Paro. Each step unveils a tapestry of Bhutanese life and culture, creating memories that resonate with the charm of this enchanting town.

Day 6Paro to Phuentsholing

As the morning unfolds, we begin our journey back to Phuentsholing. A visit to the serene Kharbandi Goenba adds a cultural touch to our day. Upon reaching Phuentsholing, a visit to the Amo Chhu Crocodile Breeding Centre offers insights into wildlife conservation. A leisurely walk around Phuentsholing allows us to savor the last moments of our Bhutanese adventure. The night wraps up with dinner and a comfortable stay in Phuentsholing.
